Picked up my tickets this afternoon at gone fishing nanaimo!

Hmm...sounds like a fun way to spend a weekend. Normally how many boats come up for the derby?

They limit it to 500 tickets total, so I guess it depends on how many people per boat.

Lots!! The docks at poets nook are packed for the prize ceremony

Last few years have been over 400+ tickets sold. This is a great starter derby for the year.

Already booked in at the Beam for the weekend. Bringing the kid this year Gary so you may have to behave. But I won't hold my breathe. See ya up there.

If anyone wants to share info throughout the day back and fourth my numbers 250-618-8548 you can text me to set something up channel wise for vhf or text I should have service throughout the sound or atleast I used too, but I just switched cell phone providers so I haven't tested that yet.

Another great kick off the season derby by the folks in Alberni and at the Nook. Fishing a little spotty with the big tides but most crews seemed able to adjust their expectations with the odd . Winning fish slightly over 17 lbs and next 2 in the 15lb range.
