Windshield frame painting

Looking to repaint w/s frame..what is the best paint you have used in a spray bomb? Gloss or flat black?

Is it currently anodized aluminum? Paint doesn't really like sticking to anodized aluminum. I like to use self etching primer first, then go over with whatever paint you want. https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/...tomotive-self-etch-primer-15-oz-0479971p.html (it's around $20 at Lordco)

Unknown if anodized was painted prior no corrosion just faded. Will probably scuff and put on a top coat.
