I do not know if this is the right place to send my question to but here goes!
I am from region #2; I fish a small river that from the middle of Oct to I would say the middle of January, while the Chum salmon are in the river to spawn, I fish for the “white” fish in the river. They seem to be every were at this time, in great numbers that is.Feeding on the chum eggs.
What I would like to know is; if you could tell me in what month do the white fish start to spawn in? Approx start to finish?
If any one out there has ever had the opportunity to fish for either the Mountain white fish or the River white fish (I believe that is what they are called), you know how much fun it can be! A 8ft 6in light action rod, single action reel with 4lbs main line, Rio 4X tippet for leader(3ft), small balsa float,1/4 inch of pencil lead above a tiny swivel and wingless split shot from the size of BB down, and also do not forget the single egg or fresh stone fly! In between all the white fish you pick up the “TROUT” as well!ALL CATCH and RELEASE!
