Whats the price of dock fuel were you are?

You guys make me laugh yes fuel prices makes us angry but is it really a contrubuting factor if we go out fishing or not??????it may cut back on where you go but a boat is a luxury and if 5 cents a litre is going to break you you better sell your boat as prices are only going to higher and higher same as

insurance,bait,oil,moorage,gear,your truck,food costs,camping!!!! fuel is the least of your worries look at the BIG picture.

I don't see anyone in this thread bent out of shape Wolf, it's simply an interesting discussion of how fuel prices vary over the island. If someone chooses to seek out the cheaper pumps, all the power to them.

Fair Harbour is $120/L for boats and Zeballos reg pump is $140/L.

I'am finding it kinda interesting also.I remember one time when I was complaning about fuel prices,my old uncle said to me,Boy what would you pay for it if you couldn't get any?DAN
 
Well I almost got sick when I paid $5.94 Gal at Telegraph on the long weekend. Converted to L equils..............Too much f-ing money![:0] or $1.57 per L
 
American gallon, Canadian gallon?? It does make for interesting conversation though. We all complain but that's the cost of boating.
I remember an old skipper I worked with that once said "If all I ever had to do is put fuel in the boat that would be great"
 
we are lucky, could be spending this kind of money or more for trash fish..and I would still be chasing them :)....
it all adds up, never tell "the war dept" what it really costs....
 
I hear what you say Wolf but when gas is $1.40/ltr it starts to play a real part in the cost of the season. I think you hit it right when you said it might cut back on where you go. I think the part that bugs me is cost without reason. That is, why do some marinas charge 'x' per ltr and some charge 'x+' given that the cost of transporting the fuel is similar? No sense beating this because fuel costs what fuel costs:( and you gotta have it[xx(] Tom
 
Reality check.

A litre of bottled water is about as much as a litre of gas.

How are the prices in Port Alberni? I'm going to Bamfield and maybe I'll fill a few jerry cans to take in.

hey guys, gals- this thread was for an info only one to help ea person decide if they maybt wanted to fuel up someother place and save a few bucks that they may spend at the local tackle shop instead. Wolf would you not want to save a few bucks if you could like when buying a new down rigger or a gps:D, just about the same price as it is to "fill" a boat these days. Keep this going as i dont have a money making machine and i do like to save money so that i may have the chance to fish 2 days in a row

Very true flytyer but and I do, but having a boat is a for fun, for me it is my work vehicle and like every thing in life if you cant afford one you have to get rid of it right!!!!!

Example trophy wife who spends your hard earned money you can put up for it for a while but sooner or later you have to get rid of her right as it is just too expensive to maintane her just like a boat LOL LOL:D:D:D
