To share a bit about our reels: all PEETZ reels are crafted here in Victoria, British Columbia, using high quality Mahogany wood and brass components. We take pride in building them the traditional way, by hand, just as we’ve been doing for over 100 years. It’s a process that we love, and it’s reflected in the craftsmanship and durability of each reel.

We produce a limited number of reels each year, and many folks enjoy being on our managed waiting list it’s usually a pretty short wait. Currently, we’re focused on creating a very special 100-year anniversary reel. Only 100 will be made, each serial numbered and packaged in a beautiful wooden box a true collector’s piece celebrating our century of craftsmanship, started by Boris Peetz in 1925.

PEETZ reels might not be for everyone, but those who choose them truly love the nostalgic, traditional experience they bring to BC coastal fishing.
A true Living Legacy.

Do you have a link to allow us to order a Can, man?
Ooops! Yes, I sure do. Thank you for asking, and my appologies for missing that aspect.
These have been very popular since offering first in 2024. Now bigger and better draws.

I truly appreciate the amazing support that we have recieved for the PEETZ brand from so many anglers and outdoors folks. It truly means a lot to me, more than anyone really knows.

Thank you,
Robert

2 Cans in the Can, Man.
Thanks Bill, you are saving PEETZ. My heart and soul, light and energy are in this legacy brand for absolutely all the folks that surround it. A true iconic west coast sportfishing reel & tackle company. 97% of what we sell is produced right here in Canada on Vancouver Island. There is no changing that and I am so grateful that you have chosen to be part of our PEETZ long 100 year history.

Bill, your order is in line to go out today. Thanks again, so very, very much for your support.

This may be one of the best raffel tickets you can buy odds wise

Cost is $40.00

Inside the can

........ a minmum of $40 value of PEETZ lures and products, (so a guarranteed prize in every box...just like Cracker Jack)

.......and 3 FREE Bonus draw tickets for three seperate draws on the following prizes

1) 100 Year Anniversary Special edition fishing reel. Nearly $1000 value
2) 5 inch refurbished and converted Evolution reel. $300 Value

The 2025 PEETZ Mystery Tin promotion has gone over very well this year as we wind down on sales. There are just 7 tins available now. This year we will have had a slight increase in sales over last season. Last year we sold 70 units and this year it will be 100 once these seven tins are sold.

What's in the CAN Man is a winner event for two seasons now.

All 2025 Mystery tins were filled with $40+ value of PEETZ lures and products and three individual FREE bonus draw tickets for a chance to win.

First Draw close to $1000 value limited edition 100 year anniversary reel.
Second draw $300 value refurbished classic PEETZ reel converted to Evolution drag.
Third draw $100 PEETZ tackle packge.

Thank you to everyone that is participating, and good luck. once these seven are sold that will be it for 2025 sales of "What's in the CAN Man?!"

2026 is already in the works and promises to be amazing.

I went to the site to buy one but shipping is $25 to Nanaimo. It may outweigh the value.
Thank you for your interest in our product and for taking the time to visit our site. We truly appreciate your consideration. We understand that shipping costs can impact the overall value, and we want to ensure you have the best experience. We are constantly working to optimize our shipping options and may have alternative solutions or promotions in the future. If you have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out by phone. We hope to serve you soon!

Nothing is a big deal in life that can't be solved. When we ship anywhere in Canada we offer flat rate shipping no matter how big or small and free shipping if the overall amount meets the minimum. We do pay extra for boxes and packing, tape and labels. We use Canada Post and drive down to the nearest location, thankfully just ten minutes away.

There certainly is extra time and costs involved with anything that we ship. We don't have these extra costs from transactions that happen at the Workshop. It is what it is. I appreciate your effort and I fully understand.

Like I mentioned earlier...there are other solutions. Almost everyone knows that I live in Nanaimo, and I love making life easy for my customers. I do what I can to help where and when I can.

So, take me up or don't the choice is for sure available to you. I am going to be back in Nanaimo all weekend.

Tomorrow PEETZ is open at 8am to 11am.
250-383-5342

Kind regards,
Robert.

Thanks Robert. I just purchased one thinking I would pick it up in Nanaimo at some point. When it processed the order it automatically added the shipping to my credit card. You should see the order today. In notes I said I would pick up in Nanaimo.

Sending you a DM Robert. Thanks.

I did some digging and I was able to refund the $25 shipping. It will take up to 7 days to show up on your card. I did receive a comfirmation notice from my CC processor.

Your can is paid. I will bring it to nanaimo. You will need to call me at the shop or on my mobile in order to arrange facilitation of delivery in Nanaimo.

Thanks again
Robert

I got my can from Robert yesterday. Looking forward to buying another next year. It is definitely a worthwhile purchase. I'm happy to see you are doing well with the business. Happy New Year.

The cans from Santa were a surprise. We had stopped giving each other gifts.

Santa also bought us a package of 4 walking tours in Vancouver offered through Forbidden Vancouver. Black Friday 2 for 1 sale

We had done the Secrets of the Penthouse Tour in September. It was the only strip club in Vancouver I hadn't been to. I used too have to take people (men, mostly actuaries and accountants ) to Strip Clubs for business promotion . Everyones' favourite (sic) was the Marble Arch and their all you could eat buffet lunch in the mid to late 80's. My therapist says we are making progress

It was a fantastic tour , Itallian dinner, small concert in their upstairs Jazz club.

Met one of the original streakers from the Grey Cup Game in the 80's - Her uncle, a retired VPD Member was working the game and he arrested her post streak She signed the book on the Penthouse for me. The books author spoke during dinner

The Penthouse was the place all the big name Black entertainers went to hang out after their shows post WW2. They were welcome there.

soooo you had all you can eat buffet then went to a strip club?!?! am i reading that right? or did it run concurrently? if you didn’t order the beef dip it would be a travesty
