I run a Lowrance Elite -4X

It's a nice little unit for the money and is good for when you don't have too much mounting space.

It'll read pretty deep bottom......I've gone 800ft plus with it.
Has 200/80 Mghz capability.
High speed transducer.

Of all the smaller units I've tried (Garmin, Eagle, Humminbird......all long since broken and departed) this one is the best.

Elite 5 gold. I liked it until the chip reader stopped reading the chip on Sunday. 3 years old. Stopping at Harbour Chandler on Saturday on the way back to Ukee. to see if the gal there can work her magic, but I think it's pooched. Will the new Elite 5 Chirp read my Navionics chip? Any other suggetions in the 5 inch?
If I go new I have to spend a good part of a day installing instead of fishing.

Dragonfly 6(5.7)

I like it except for 2 nitty gritty problems:

On my boat it doesn't work above 15 knots in deep water,

There is always interference between 20-60 feet, It's minor but it's there.

In my canoe I run a Garmin Echo 301DV, and my runs a Garmin Echo 551DV in his boat. If you are fishing in less than 100 feet of water the downvu is amazing, but the black and white versions are trash. I use it for targeting bottom fish.

I also run the Garmin Echo 301DV and it is a great fish finder. It is said to work down to 1750 feet in clear conditions. It is good for finding bait balls and salmon and also great for bottom fishing as it gives you a picture of the bottom below you. Another nice feature is the colour display which is visible in the brightest day. Pretty good for $240 CAD!

Dragonfly 4 pro
Honestly a little dissapointed with it. Maybe I haven't dialed it in yet but I can't for the life of me spot any marks for fish despite actually catching them pretty regular...
