What's everybody runnin?

10 foot flat bottomed riveted aluminum punt with an old 2 hore mariner motor...u kno the old ones that only have one gear, forward, and to go in reverse u have to spin the motor right around. i use that boat all summer in the CR area fishin the tyees when they come in. ive had 'nooks of 40 lbs in that lil boat. ya sure a big ol' grady is nice, but it just goes to show you that you dont need to mortage the rest of ur life for a few fish<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>.

cheers,
cody

Hey Maddog! Yeah the T8 is a great motor and it pushes my boat bo problem which with guys and gear probably is a little over 5000lbs. I chose it because of the weight and it had the optional power tilt that I wanted no more hauling a motor up manually! It works great and you can't beat a yammy! The price/performance/fuel economy/noise level and ease to operate with the power tilt and key start make this the best kicker I've ever had!

Saltwater cowboy whats the name of your boat? I saw one in bowser a little while ago ad it sounds like yours. I think it started with a T.

Hey Kelly! I haven't named it yet so it wouldn't have been me. I'm in a 20'9" Grady White Center Console. Does that sound familiar. I'm in that area but I only go as far south as Norris Rocks etc..

Are there ay nice springs off of Flora Isl., Tribune Bay or Whaling station bay still. I used to do some guiding up there and the fishing was amazing. We used to rake herring and mooch of norris as well. How about jigging springs ten feet off Eagle rock in Lambert channel?

At the right time of the year for sure! It was apparently a little sketchy last year but I love raking herring and mooching it's such a pure form of fishing! Where are you know? Victoria?

Boston Whaler 16'7" with a 50 hp four stroke yammie. Boat is basically set up Campbell River guide style with electric Scotties on rail mounts. Fish south island, CR, Stuart Island and Port Alberni.

14ft livingston with a 30 mariner
wanning to upgrade pretty quick here

2004 1925 Harbercraft welded 19 foot with Honda 115 and yammy 9.9 high thrust./// Great fishing boat... fish mostly lower Van Isle.

1995 Campion Explorer 185 with 1998 Johnson 115 hp, 9.9 kicker, dual batteries, electic riggers, GPS, etc.etc. Much better fuel economy with the fuel injected 115 instead of the carborated 94 Johnson 115 that was on it.
