I've got a question on halibut preservation. The halibut regs state that you cannot multilate or fillet a halibut on board your fishing vessel. What do you do when you head up north say to the outside of QCI for a ten day to two week trip

I think you are ok to filet the fish as long as the skin remains attached.
If the C.O. needs to identify 2 in possesion ,there should be 8 filets total, 4 bottom (white) and 4 top (grey)

You can skin them as well if you wanted as long as there is a piece of skin attached... say toonie sized

Do what most usa people do take to a processer, and they will ship it right to your door after your trip so you can keep fishing and fishing and fishing.

Wolf, do i detect a hint of sarcasm :D:D

Lipripper; I like your idea. I guess they don't specify how much skin is attached. What is a toonie sized piece of skin for us south of the border guys.

Wolf; Is there any processors on the West Coast of QCI? I'm not looking on loading up on fish, just want quality on the ones I do catch.

Say golf ball sized
