I wish! We operate fully manually machines. It could be done, but at what cost!? (A high one, I assure you)
We are not in a position to go CNC, but if that day ever comes, whats one more program into the CNC database right! haha

If the Trend doesn't come in left hand retrieve, it can go in the 'no thanks' bin along with the Okuma, the Islander MR2, Rapala, TFO, Trophy. Until someone makes a lefty in the low cost market, we lefties are stuck with the MR3, unless you want a Shimano or Daiwa.

Nice! It's just the years of discrimination we've had to endure that makes me yearn, oh and all my fly reels are left too, gotta be consistent. The best revenge though is having four lefty combos on board with 3 right handed passengers.

Just point out here
right-handed person should reel in with there left hand---- right arm holding the rod as its the strong arm applying the rod pressure
reverse for a left handed person
reason stick a fixed spool reel on a spinning rod and cast retrieve watch what the person does
you will see lots of people change hands flip the rod upside down wind backwards reel upside down like there fishing with a bait caster????
hence why????? where the problem lies baitcasters---- bass fishing the biggest market for reels
but a rt handed person should still cast with there rt arm
doubt me pick up a fly rod see which way works for you?????

I'd go with lampson, Ross or hardy, islander reels are very over rated. They sell only because of the cheap gold plating and the idea of the high price tag meaning its high quality. Not so much.....get their cork drag wet and it's all but useless.

I have islander mr3s and hardy Zane and the hardy is my fav one. The drag is so smooth and doesn't creep like the islanders. Make sure u use lots of backing on it before putting mono on btw

LOL LOL I can reel either way for baitcaster I do go lefty as I cast better right handed (and throw a ball right) trying to cast left is harder like throwing a ball left !!!!LOL LOL its not a pretty sight LOL LOL.
but for salmon reel right as thats what im used to and a big difference holding a rod compared to "casting" one

I like this saying, which is based on the biology of the brain function....

BTW I am a leftie but I always reel with my left hand because I believe that is the one doing all the complex work and manipulation - palming, adjusting the drag, shooting line for fly casting etc. Yes this means I have to fly and spin cast with my right hand but seems to work fine.......... And the rod in my right means I can use my "good' arm for doing whatever else is required, drinking coffee or manipulating the net!! LOL
