Good choice. Better flat water economy with the single. Can't go wrong with the big seapro.
Oh, sorry. I meant trolling on a 150. Yes, we know you wouldn't run a boat without a second engine..That 300 is still gonna have a side kick(er) im not that ballsy...dragging her to Nanaimo on the 825 out of horseshoe bay tomorrow for the glass / pod / canvas work, then back to this side for power. Needed to work with a local merc dealer but my god im stoked not to spend 50 hours a season with my head stuffed into the bilge trying to keep it all running.
Gotta do it this year before the 40,000 a year for higher education kicks in next year for too many years to follow, like a geofence for retirement so gotta Yolo while I can.
Who wants to take odds if my wife even notices the difference in the boat next season haha.

I have never underestimated the secret knowledge that my wife amasses. What is far more concerning is how and when she shares/uses this knowledge,
Years ago a pal was doing pretty well in business and he bought one of the second generation Porsche Boxsters, As you may recall they looked very similar from the front to a 911. A few years later he sold his company for stupid money and decided to "secretly upgrade to a 911".
He special ordered the 911 so that it was the exact same colour as his Boxster , same colour interior , same colour top, same wheel pattern, etc., etc.
All of us were amazed at both his guile and his balls. He said they look pretty well the same from the front and his wife and he park nose in, in a two car two door garage so she will never notice,
So.... a year goes by and they are on vacation in Hawaii. He is golfing his face off every day and his wife is out doing wifey things (let's call it shopping).
They are on their way out for dinner and walking along the street past a row of high end stores and she says let's pop in here (a jewellry store) for a minute. So in they go and she cruises over to the counter and askes to see the "Ring I was looking at the other day."
Now his wife is maybe 5 feet nothing and 100 pounds. The Jeweller halls out a BFR from the back and she slips it on. It looks like it is an advanced life support system attached to her hand,
She turns to her husband, who is still thinking about his earlier round and looking forward to dinner, and says "It looks nice doesn't it?"
He says yes, not yet seeing where this is going.
She smiles, turns and says to the Jeweller," We'll take it."
Then she turns to her husband and says, "I know about the Porsche."
Your wife knows about the new motor , her friends all know that she knows , and she has plans for that 50 hours that you just freed up.
I see James is going to do the glass work. Who are you getting to do the pod. I guess I’m assuming it’s going to be an aluminum pod.All packaged and delivered:

As for my far better half, she has 10,000 other things to worry about than my antics with cars and boats!
I don’t know what all the fuss around I/Os is. It doesn’t bother me at all that I fished on Sept. 2, after waiting since April to finally get a crack at springs locally (Vancouver), only to experience engine troubles on the run home from Sandheads, and thereafter spending the rest of the season tearing the engine apart, sourcing and ordering parts, and putting it back together, in the couple hours I have after work, here and there. Doesn’t bother me at all. Not bitter. At all. Really. That 300 is still gonna have a side kick(er) im not that ballsy...dragging her to Nanaimo on the 825 out of horseshoe bay tomorrow for the glass / pod / canvas work, then back to this side for power. If it helps the colour looks great and I’m sharing a boat where the guy put 19k into a 15 year old outboard. Hope your boat is dialed in nowI don’t know what all the fuss around I/Os is. And this is what I did on my boat this week. And last week. And the week before that. And before that.

I paid the same price as the Halo 20 . Tim was stating that there was a shortage of Halo 20 and Lowrance gave HC same pricing for for the Halo plus . Hc passing the saving to customers . He stated will pass the saving until they run out .Nice! What deal did you manage on the halo+? I’m still rocking my harbour chandler Boxing Day radar deal from about 10 years ago, but dream of hunting tuna in California with the halo+ bird hunting feature.
Thanks for the tip on the HC deal on the Halo 20+. As of this morning my Visa card can corroborate your story!Replaced radar with Lowrance Halo 20 Plus and payed same price as Halo 20 with non advertised deal with Harbour Chandler. I also added Lowrance HDS PRO nine inch to sync with HDS LIVE 7. Replaced Jabisco hot shot wash down to from 2 year old ugh . Motors been serviced and winterized . I purchased boat in 2021 and re powered both motors last few years so boat is like new to me and pretty much done . Ps on wish list auto pilot when I totally retire next year or so if I want to fish alone .View attachment 121920View attachment 121921
