Funny I mounted mine exactly the same way, but I took the Honda outInstall instructions for the Suzuki ignition show .5 hours. Pretty sure that time it doesnāt include returning the wrong push button ignition to Vancouver by courier, buying and cutting starboard, buying a set of hole saws, taking a slurpee brake for the 8/9 year olds who are āhelpingā out. 98% done just need to wire up the trim.
Tip for those thinking of repowering, donāt re-use 18 year old controls. Even in a cabin, salt has a way of getting into all things mechanical. Got the old Morse/Teleflex controls working now but would prefer the new Suzuki binnacle which is still in transit.View attachment 117340

Pre-pack the spare bearings and vacuum seal them to a piece of cardboard. Saves a lot of time when you lost a tire on the side of the road lol.Replaced a burnt bearing. Happy to have learned from a good buddy, now I have all the tools. Throwing them in a tool box for this weekend trip along with an extra set of bearings and a seal. Hopefully have time to pack the bearings before I leave but running out of time!!! Ordered a spare pre-assembled hub, so Iāll be extra prepared for future trips.

You are a serious prepper! What does the cardboard do? I'm worried about getting grease on my smoked salmon next time I vacuum seal. I was just using a zip lock bag, but your idea sounds a lot cleaner.Pre-pack the spare bearings and vacuum seal them to a piece of cardboard.
