Looks to be doing its job.As I was changing the oil and filter this weekend in my 115 Merc, and the oil in my 9.9, someone asked me why I change my hull zinc on a yearly basis.

Another reason I pulled mine out was so I could drop the legs vertically without them being in the ocean, for the freeze that is coming up.Looking like it's finally getting cold in the island later this week.
Fired my little diesel up yesterday to suck a gallon or so of glycol through the raw water system. I keep a little heater in the engine compartment that kicks in at +3C but better to be safe than sorry with the temp drop that's suppose to be coming. It's only a 5-min job so worth doing for piece of mind.Hope everyone has winterized. -10 possible next week.
There was one in the buy sell section of the forums. Ask Ezz if he still has itPicked up a 2017 300 Verado, came with the complete dual helm dts controls, vessel view 4 display, active trim module, power steering pump and hoses, tilt front helm and second rear helm, and also an enertia eco 17p prop, the rigging it came with adds up to more then what I paid for motor and rigging, I will need to extend the leg to 30” but I couldn’t say no to the price, anyone have a 30” driveshaft kicking around?
Pretty sure that’s for a 2019 and up v8 verado they are different kits, he did have a listing this past summer for a 2018 one I just asked aboutThere was one in the buy sell section of the forums. Ask Ezz if he still has it
Mercury 300 XXL Kit
Hi, anyone looking for an extension kit for a 2019 Mercury 300 to make it into an XXL? Asking what someone is willing to spend, hoping for $500-1000. Thxsportfishingbc.com
Which one? Mine is getting long in the tooth so nice to see what’s out thereI put a heater in it.
HiHaha. A plug in heater cause it’s cold as balls out. I open my battery compartment and circulate some air through it. But, I do have a wallas diesel heater in my boat.
That’s “global warming” for ya …Yesterday I sat there and ran everything up and had two heaters going trying to defrost all my waterlines. I had my regular heater going but it couldn't keep up I guess. Finally got things flowing after a couple hours. Drained the lines and left the pumps off. Left the espar going overnight. Even the raw water line was frozen up! Thank god these crazy temps aren't going to last much longer. I'll be taking the kid over to Trout Lake for a skate tomorrow. It's next door. Crazy that this is the third time it's frozen in a 6 year span. Used to be a once in a decade kinda thing.
Yes, they dropped the “global warming“ name long ago, and have been calling it climate change since.Yep, weakened and destabilized jet stream leading to more frequent arctic outflows in winter. A nice steady warming might sound nice, but we’re seeing that in Canada climate change actually means more severe wheather of all kinds
