Needing some advice,
Have been doing lots of research on new boats and used boats in the US.
I am trying to figure if it is worth going new or getting a 2-3yr old boat in the US. It seems like they want a pretty penny for either the Wellcraft or Striper. $90,000 plus taxes at least. I see in the states they are definitely cheaper.
I am not sure how or what is needed to get a boat in the US or what would be the best way to tackle this.
I have heard many stories of going to the east coast pick out a boat ship to Alberta for about $4000.00 save the PST and register it as a company and get the GST back. I figure if you do all of the math you could save around $20,000 CDN. I know it might be a bit of a hassle but if you are organized could this be a reality or a dream. Are you better to buy local?
Any suggestions.
And does anyone have advice of Wellcraft vs Striper and why? So many different reviews can't get a straight answer.
Let me know your thoughts.
