So how much do you think all the wet weather we have been having is an effect on the salmon this year??
Most of the creeks and rivers are higher than normal and there is lots of fresh water flooding into the ocean. Just look at the Fraser, never seen it so high in July in Prince George. Do you think that the fish are moving through faster due to the higher than usual fresh water??
The reason I ask this is a buddy picked up a an 11 lbs coho with a very pronounced kipe in Hardy on Sat. I know about maturity and such, it just seems that fish are doing strange things this year. Hardy has got fish, McNeill is very spotty and then there is some of the best fishing in a long time in Campbell River, Courtenay and Nanaimo, so the fish are moving through, but not stopping at the usual spots.
Any other unusual occurances out there??
Cheers
