Have a air top 3500. When I turn the thermostat up the green light goes out and when I turn it down the light comes back on. Seems like a short but nothing visible. No clicking or movement on the heater. Can a fuel pump do this or ????

I have looked at this but I does not even give any codes. Light goes out

What about this on page 502 -- Says this if there is 'no light';

No start-up and no illumination of LED of control element - immediately - Wrong wiring, defective fuse

Have you confirmed you have sufficient gauge wire for the demand load? Have you checked fuse for unit? Talks about a fuse element on page 806.

Yes. It has been installed for years. There is a light on till I turn up the thermostat, then the light goes out. Then when I turn the thermostat down the light comes back on. No codes. No clicks or sounds.

sounds like a bad thermostat. Make sure your batteries are well charged as well, that is common with mine.....voltage down slightly and it fails.

Cheapest fix going, just a bit of emery cloth and elbow grease.
