Looking for a replacement pump to suit my existing Goetz Trol-Eze steering unit for kicker. I've tried reaching out to the original manufacturer but have not got an answer as of yet. I see some discussions on the board of the odd one coming for sale so I thought I'd try my luck..Thanks!IMG_6647.jpg

When mine went in my old boat I used a Volvo trim pump. Just have to back the relief valve out as you don’t need much pressure. They can be had for cheap if you look around. Never had problems with it in many years unlike the gotze pump. Don’t get me started on the switch as I had to do a work around for that too.

I would even try calling around to some hydraulic hose/pump suppliers in your area or small pump repair business to see if it can be rebuilt?
Thanks.
I heard back today from the Original supplier - Goetz in Idaho. They still make and sell these units. He told me that Parksville Boathouse is a distributor. I'm going to see what they have.

That sounds like a workable solution. But of course I'm going to have to ask about the switch...

With the original gotez witch all the amperage goes the it. Kinda nice when it is cold out not so nice in the summer hardly hold on to it. But with the trim pump it comes with relays so any switch will work and will last forever. Dissected the original and installed a toggle switch. Then glued it all together and worked for years no problems. Also installed a Wagner jog switch to operate it as the hand held confused my wife. 😂
