Kicker hydraulic steering

Goetz trol-eze 12v hydraulic steering setup:

-original 12v steering pump
-new 11ft hydraulic lines
-seastar HC5370-3 side mount cylinder
-18ft steering harness
-steering Linkage

This cylinder was a replacement for the original that came with the kit. It was used for 2 seasons before I removed this setup and went with a tie bar. I had these new hydraulic lines made as I was going to run this setup from a momentary switch at the helm. They have not been used. The original Goetz troleze harness switch has failed which is why I removed the system. The 12v motor/pump is fully functional. Either make a new harness or run the motor from a mounted momentary switch.

So lol.......APC sold it to me, and i have not had the opportunity to make it work for my boat (it needs to be modified to work on my boat). Let me know if you are interested in it. It is as is from when i bought it from APC. I am in Campbell River.

Hi, did you end up selling the Trol-Eze hydraulic steering kit..in search of a replacement pump for mine..Thanks

@brewin8 I did sell it yes, I do have another one, but I am looking for the ram, mine is leaking and it cant be resealed. if anyone knows where/how to use a different ram, please share!

I bought a couple of replacement pneumatic rams off of Ebay as a backup plan for when the original Trol-Eze ram starts leaking again.
The OEM ram from Parksville Boathouse was quoted at $250 IIRC, the Ebay ones were quite a bit cheaper.

And these are the fittings you'll need for the 1/4" NPT openings on each end of the ram:

thanks Jeger, can you send me a link to those cylinders?.....I cannot seem to find them. And just to confirm, they are air Rams, can they be used with hydraulic fluid?

You're right, there don't seem to be any available on Ebay right now...
However these ones from Amazon look comparable and might work for you, do your due diligence of course!!
I haven't personally used a pneumatic ram with hydraulic fluid, but I don't see why they wouldn't work.

I have 3 cylinders like the one in the OPs post. One the shaft was cut, good for parts. It's the newer style with ORB fittings. Other 2 are good shape. One has a tilt tube extention on it. Those 2 are FIP fittings.
