A friend of ours is looking to purchase a new boat and he is not afraid to spend a few $$$. Currently he is looking at orcas in the 24-26 foot range but there are few on the market and most seem priced high so he has been also looking at other brands. Anyone out there know of any good setups for sale.I think he prefers a hardtop but seems open to ideas. Hopefully I'll have the money to look for an orca in the next 60 years[xx(]

Hey guys thanks for the links.he has found a harbourcraft kingfisher he is looking to purchase.I'll post a thread under the other section asking some input.thanks again.

Id stick with the orca and not he kingfisher hear they pound alot, the orcas or the ospreys are a way better boat best thing to do is test drive them in rough conditions. before spending that kinda dough!! dont see too many charter guys running a kingfisher but alot with orca, sesports, ospreys,GW and my personal fav hourstons.

Good luck Wolf

Wolf thats exactly what i said. If your spending that money you want a boat that can do it all.I dont know of any guides running them likely because of the ride in chop.Im trying to tell him to take it on a test ride and see for himself. Theres not many orcas with outboards for sale so im getting him to look at ospreys, seasports, seawest, monaros ect.

If he wants an aluminum boat maybe he should check out Daigle in CR before buying - seems to be a much better product in my estimation.

i was looking at parkers, they are the saweet!!!

share the harvest

Just thought I'd put my 2 cents in on your comment Wolf

I'll say this if I were guiding and had to get my guest out, would I get one NO but looking at the other side trailering , being able to pull up on a sandy beach, costs of operating, durability, not to mention they are a very well built boat. My point being , it all depends on your intended use.
I'm assuming you meant they were better boats running in 3 or 4 footers, and i"m not knocking those boats either I think there great boats
