good luck with that...I looked for a while, pretty much every used electric comes with a boat attached. ebay always has them, but at near new prices. He might get lucky on usedvictoria.com...but he'll need to be on-the-ball.

also try the buysell&trade island edition, but like backatit says you will have to be quick as they dont last long

I have advised him to check all of the usual spots. He also lives in Campbell River so he can check out anything available up Island.

Just trying to help him out. You never know what you will find when you ask.

Ironically I offered him my 2 old ones last year for $500 when I upgraded but he did not need them then. Oh well I got $300 each not having to sell them to a friend.

I have one 1100 I bought last year. I could get rid of for $275.00 I just use it as a back up so it just sits there .
