Sunchine.Still mulling that over....
Oh baby! Look at thatHere are some pics!
What a beautifully simple and simply beautiful boat. That bow shape looks like it’ll cut through the chop like butter. Must be a comfortable ride. Very nice. Here are some pics!
interesting. I'd heard the Garmin AP sucks a lotta energy. Would love to know what your final solution will be. I assume another battery?Update:
Picked up the outfitted boat on Saturday. Dynamics of boat has changed a bit with the weight of a kicker on the stern. Will work on weight distribution of DR balls, etc. Reactor 40 kicker AP is AWESOME, except it uses a TON of power. Will have to upgrade the battery power if I want to use it for a full day. Obviously didn't spend enough time figuring power consumption with all the electronic goodies I placed on the boat.
I think another battery or two is the right first step. Placement may be tricky. Not a lot of room to put things. That's a downside to a 10 degree transom deadrise.interesting. Adding batteries up front might help out your stance (trim) too.I think another battery or two is the right first step. Placement may be tricky. Not a lot of room to put things. That's a downside to a 10 degree transom deadrise.
I had to add a few hundred lbs to the bow of mine.I think another battery or two is the right first step. Placement may be tricky. Not a lot of room to put things. That's a downside to a 10 degree transom deadrise.
will definitely move a couple 15's up there. Maybe just replace my rope with all chain.I had to add a few hundred lbs to the bow of mine.
I turned the anchor locker into a cannonball storage compartment.
Wasn't an issue for me since only time I ever wanted to anchor that boat it's because we were hali fishing and we anchor off the stern anyway so I just deleted that whole assembly and turned the anchor roller into a spotlight mountwill definitely move a couple 15's up there. Add a couple of 150w solar panels on the roof. I have solar and it keeps my batteries at close to 100% while running fridge, freezer, electronics, and down riggers all day long. It’s a real game changer and not that expensive or complicatedI think another battery or two is the right first step. Placement may be tricky. Not a lot of room to put things. I just went with a twin panel dual 200watt into series on 24 volts coming into a victron and dialed it back to 14.6 volts. Wicked. Solar is so coolAdd a couple of 150w solar panels on the roof.
