VHF RADIOS

Looking at getting a vhf radio(only have a low power hand held now).I like the Icom and the Standard Horizon.They are both about $200.Any feed back on these?Or others?

I got a Icom, under 200 from Trotac,Victoria, recently. Im happy with it. Scanning feature, emergency signal locator etc.

Go for the Icom.I've had fixed mount Icom's as well as hand-helds and found them to be of very good quality
