Used Plugs and Spoons

Anyone out there know of a good source for used plugs and spoons. I'm always in the hunt for certain Tomic plugs and spoons - been lucky lately hitting some of the pawn shops - even scored some Kripple K spoons for $.50 each.

No offense Dogbreath but everytime I go into that palce I find rusty overpriced secondhand crap. Has anybody checked out the new tackle store in Sidney? Don't know the name?

I have found some great old chewed up warriors and old spoons etc at the shop at the Coombs Cutoff on the way to Port Alberni.

Check out Ideal tackle in CR. Great prices and if you pay cash.......

He has a huge box of ex commercial plugs that keep getting filled.

Cheers

Popeye's in North Vancouver has ridiculous deals on used Saltwater Gear. Plugs, Flashers, etc. They have all sorts of old commercial gear in there available for almost nothing. I picked up 10 Green/Red Hot Spot flashers, almost new, with double Sampo Swivels for $10.

Hard to beat that!!!

Thanks FM, I'll drop in there next time I leave the rock for my dose of driving madness. Good tip.

I'll second that. I can't believe what they try to charge for some of the crap in there. I think I've been in there 10 times and have never bought anything.

What's the new tackle store? The one over near Slegg's? I haven't been there, but heard on here that the prices are good.

I bought 5 Tomic plugs for $1.25 when they were moving closer to the water but Yes they wanted $3 for an old 3 ounce sinker so they aren't fishermen/don't know what things are worth.

Just ended up reading this topic while researching info on plugs. Last year I purchased a large amount of used flashers (hot spot...), Tomic plugs (about a 1000), Silver Horde plugs, spoons, and hoochies (octopus, needle fish, cuttle fish, plankton). I put aside everything I need which will last a life time and I have lots of tackles left over. I'm willing to share the wealth with members of this forum since I learned how to fish from your tips and knowledge. I live in the Lower Mainland (Coquitlam area) and If you are interested to get some of my stuff at a very cheap price you can e-mail me at stephanehamel@shaw.ca and we can chat. :)

Yes, I've left a number of them on the bottom of the Pacific Ocean -- they are free if you wanted to pick them up...[:p]
