Hello, everyone.

My daughter is looking to find a job for the coming summer and is thinking about working at a fishing lodge.
This is to pay for her upcoming 3rd year of university in the engineering faculty. She has to work since we aren't a family with money to pay her way.
She knows her way around boats and fish and fishing; has been my sport fishing buddy for over 10 years.
She also knows how to work in many other areas such as domestic chores.

I am asking for any information / leads, and will pass them her way.

In the interests of confidentiality, please reply by PM, not by posting here (unless it is a general reply).

Thanks in advance!

I'd send off resumes to all the larger charlotte lodges. Most start looking now for the upcoming season and have small job fairs in February. They're always looking for housekeepers or dock hands. The pay isn't much but add on the tips and no where to spend it up there and she should save a good chunk for school. QCL, Langara, West Coast Resorts are good starts but if she sends out a resume to every lodge then more odds of getting a job......that's what I did a ways back and worked for me.

this time of year a lot of the bigger ones will put out ads on job boards, craigslist etc. - keep your eye open the next few months.

She might want to go to the Vancouver boat show. A lot of the lodges have booths there. Just a thought.
