Thanks again for everyones advice on guiding in Ukee. Just got back last night. We were going to have 6 of us at first, and ended up with only 4 (2 couples). The weather wasn't the greatest last week but the fishing was good.
We ended up going out with Westcoast Fishing (run by a guy called Matt), our guide was Elmer. They run some nice Grady Whites, lots of room for the 4 of us on there. We decided to do Wednesday afternoon. Left at 3pm from the dock, motored about 45 minutes and within 5 minutes of trolling we had 2 on together. 1 Spring to keep and 1 coho to go back in. we ended up with 4 sets of doubles in a row. In 3 hours of fishing we had all limited out, and tossed back about a dozen coho's. Got to see quite a few whales as well. Most springs were around 15 - 20lbs with the largest at 25lbs.
The guys doing full day trips were limiting out on hali in the morning and then salmon by about 2pm. The trips on Mon-Thurs all limited out.
Absolute blast, getting a fish every 5 - 10 minutes was just amazing, almost no time for beers
Cheers
