Trying to value my late classic all original 1980 15.5 Hourston Glascraft 70 Evinrude

Boat was purchased new in Lake Cowichan by my grandfather, spent majority of its life on the island while only being launched onto two lakes. Cowichan and sprout, Boat has never seen salt water. (Boat now resides in the central cariboo) All original interior and soft top that hasn’t been bastardized with the original 70 Evinrude looper. Engine is pretty well all original and has never been taken off the transom. Probably one of the cleanest original Houstons out there.. I’m trying to put a value on it and am interested in your thoughts.

Keep her if you can. It's a priceless boat for its functionality and memories. The best way to price it is to watch boats of that size on Craigslist; you can set up alerts to check what sells quickly and is sitting. If it has a trailer in great shape, I'd guess $4500, but I haven't watched that end of the market since pre-covid when my buddy was looking. Total guess, but it is a beautiful boat to keep or pass down to a nephew on a $100 a month payment plan.

Yeah I’ll be inheriting it from my father once he purchases a new boat. And my plan is to keep it for as long as possible and slowly restore it back to its original glory. Get things like the gel-coat redone, new soft top. Those sorts of things. And yes it’s got the original road runner trailer in great shape.
