I am going to purchase a game camera..

I have never researched them before and a place is recommending this model.

What are your thoughts or experiences?

I've never owned one, but there are lots of them on the market.

It depends on how good a photo you expect from it. Just like digital cameras, it comes down to lens quality and megapixels.

Find one you like and then Google it for reviews.

Let us know how you make out.

I just bought a GoPro Hero2 and while I have not had a chance to try it on the boat (the reason for the purchase), I am very impressed with what I have seen so far. One word of caution, the "Accessories" will cost you way more than the camera........ keep us posted on what you decide on.

Finally decided on the reconyx hc600
Great reviews and when I called the company with questions I got a real person on the other end. Just trying to figure out where to buy it from?

I will post with a review after using it for a while

Reconyx is definitely the best...and also comes with the highest cost.
Here are some preferences from the bow hunters at an Archery forum I belong to. http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=1681113&highlight=trail+cam and http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=601426&highlight=trail+cam and http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=1332886&highlight=trail+cam
According to the Reconyx site, the only retailer selling them in BC, is in Kelowna.

You can buy them on line from Cabelas.ca for $549.99 + taxes and shipping. http://www.cabelas.ca/index.cfm?pageID=71&section=1190&section2=1716&ID=21944
