Trophy with f150 prop suggestions

I have a 20’ trophy and just re powered to a 2012 low hour f150. After my first sea trial I couldn’t get up on plane. I got the injectors cleaned and it runs great. Got it up on plane but only hit 3700 rpm. Pulled the prop to find it’s a 21 pitch. I had a beat up (chipped and piece missing) aluminum solas 14.8x17 pitch prop so I tried it out. Hit 5000 rpm. I sorta feel like a 17 should be in the mark but maybe a 15? So my question to you guys that have similar set ups to my boat/engine. what are you running?

I had a 20' trophy with a 175 merc ocean series 2 stroke. I put on a high five stainless prop but can't remember if it was a 17 or 19 pitch. It was quick out of the hole and topped out at 45mph on the gps.

I’d run a 15P a 150 4stroke is sufficient for that hull but won’t be a speed demon you want the power out of the hole and to power through swells ect, You’re running on the lower end of your rpm range should be closer to 5500-6000 wide open in my opinion. 2 strokes are different animals but the 4 stroke 150s I found a little sluggish on that hull trim tabs are a must if you don’t have them already. Have a decent amount of experience on that hull and currently have a 2005 trophy 1802 115hp mercury CT (150hp) lower unit running a 15x15 mercury enertia boat does 36-37mph WOT at 6000pm also ran a 14.5x17 and a 14.5x19 the 15x15 works best for me as i usually have a full load.

Thanks guys. I’m not after top speed, just want the motor running at optimal rpm’s. I don’t fully trust the numbers I’m getting on my beater 17p prop but I don’t think they’re off by 1000 rpm either. I think I’m going to grab one of the market place 15p and see where I end up. Thanks for the replies

This works perfectly. It will get you the prop you need. It got me exactly what I needed twice

I have an Etec 130 on a 19 ft runabout. Still has the factory 14.8 x 17P aluminum 3 blade on it, runs out to 38 mph @ 5700 rpm. Hull would be lighter than your Trophy, but it has all the fishing stuff like 9.9 kicker, HP riggers, 15 lb balls, tackle, 2 batteries, twin gas tanks, etc that bring the weight up.
