I've done this solo and with buddy boats. My preference is to make this trip with a loosely organized group (there is no need for a hard core plan).
Our first window is this coming Saturday. We leave Nanaimo mid-afternoon on the day, then return the following day with the return time dependent on winds among other things. I will only make this trip if the skies are forecast to be very nice, and if the wind is forecast to be very light, and staying that way! We are in a Bayliner 246.
Please note that I am not interested in babysitting anyone. The knowledge and ability to anchor overnight safely is a must.
