Have a couple of pitted spots behind where the motor was mounted on a Gregor I just picked up. Any advice on best way to fill these?

My guy ground the area clean and then filed the holes with a power saw file to clean them up. He used a wire feed welder set at a hi feed speed and just filled them in. Used his grinder to smooth them out and you could hardly tell they were there. Probably not as easy as he made it look but it only took him about 15 minutes to do four 1/2” holes.

A wire wheel and some two part epoxy like JB weld will also get the job done

Agreed. I did this on my aluminum boat.

You need a zinc and perhaps ground that pod to a central ground

Stainless wire wheel if possible. Steel will deposit iron into the aluminum and cause more corrosion.
