Last yr I put a Garmin 178c on my Double Eagle 206. I am happy with the unit & am planning on buying another one to put on a new to me 26 Tollycraft. The Garmin 178c can only be bought with a transom mnt. transducer I'm told (someone please correct me if I've been misled) The back of the boat has two full length trim tabs & I can't see where I could mnt the transducer. Any ideas? If thats true then I want to know if its possible to mnt. a transom transducer to shoot through the hull? I've heard its possible! The hull is solid glass but quite thick, maybe up to an inch thick. The sender is duel frequency 50/200. Is there a temporary bonding agent to stick the transducer to the hull inside to find out? How would I test it to find out or am I wasting my time. Thanks Brian
