Transducer issues

my setup is a compromise of having to run two trannies next to each other

as i am I/O and have large trim tabs

so it only leaves me a small area to mount

i played around already to try get a good reading but looks like i have to
do a bit more experimenting

as losing bottom almost straight away on my airmar p66
as i try get up on plane
but the elite skimmer is holding and reading fine until it hits shallow water 90'
as soon as in 100'+ it holds bottom and i can be running 25 mph which is as fast i want to go
and even tracking bottom reading 500' @ 20mph

so why would it lose bottom when coming into shallow water less than 100'
if i come off plane and get to trolling speeds it locks on to the bottom ?

running the elite skimmer at 83 htz next to the leg
the p66 is 50/200 and is 2"away from the trim tab
there side by side
so other than swapping them round
as if i go the other side of the leg i will be in the kicker prop wash.

i have them set a little deeper than the hull
as when i had them flush i lost both when going on plane ?
