Tongue of the trailer looks bent/mangled. Wonder what the story is?

Likely wasn't coupled properly and or chained.
Hitch popped off and hit the pavement launching the boat on the roadside

I think it was someone not paying attention and either smashed the brakes or got rear ended, I went by going south shortly after it happened, the traffic was backed up for many kms because of that stupid bridge construction
