Toquart Bay Ucluet Camping

Anyone done any Secret Beach Camping and Toquart Bay fishing? If you are in Victoria I would love to buy you a beer and pick your brain...

I drove out to toquart last weekend. There are lots of campsites there and the sign said office open in may.

ahh, the band got it going! just in a different area than it used to be.

Secret Beach has been open for quite some time now. We used to drive down there and check out the progress while they were building it. Quite a few kayakers and weekend campers. There was a nice lady that was looking after the boat launch so you can camp at Secret Beach and launch at Toquart. Not sure about moorage but there are boats tied up there. Due to the old campground being shut down and not a lot of people nearby, I would assume security possibly could be an issue with mooring there.

A new boat launch and marina are in the works at Secret Beach Campground. Lots of work and approvals still to do but hopefully it will be built and installed by next year.

I would say the security of the moorage would be a big issue. Other than that it looks great though..
