headed out camping for the wet long weekend.

thought id do a half day with some friends, see if we can hook any chinook and then a few hali

any good guides you can recomend?

I don't know if he's back in town yet, but Shawn at Tofino Osprey Lodge is the longest running full time guide in that area.

I would recomend sean hart of hartbreaker fishing company. I know he just got his boat in the water up there. Hes freshly repowered so not sure if he is done his engine beak in process yet.
Cheers and good luck

With 40-50 knot winds forecast for Saturday and coming down to 35-45 Sunday I think you would be asking for a lot to go get Chinook for yourself and some friends, and then go for Hali all in a half day.

Can you not anchor up in that kind of weather?? :p

I don't think Shawn is back til almost the end of the month?

oh, wow didnt know the forcast was so balmy..... maybe just hit the hali if thats even possible

Check with Cleanline Charters or HartBreaker. Google will find them....Sean Hart was FishTofino's right hand man and is a great guy. Cleanline is Blake and also a great guy....if weather permits they'll get you on fish.

Are you looking at this weekend? Not sure what the "wet long weekend" is?

well a friend and i headed out today with clayoquat ventures and bouced and trolled the bottom off vargas isl.
other than chumming the water three times we had no excitment
3-5m swells and drinks around the campfire the night before didnt help

Seriously, going out in weather like that really reduces your chances of success as it limits where you can fish.

Sorry to hear about your bad trip. I always tell me guests to save the partying for after the fishing trip....not the night before.
