Todays catch.

Betterhalf and I went out today and caught 30 squawfish, but inbetween caught these 2.




Yesterday went out with a buddy and caugth this 7lb 28 inch laker. It is destined for the smoke house. I should be getting really healthy from the 2 to 3 times a week eating fish!! Love being back where there is fish that you can eat.
So many lakes so little time.

The new term is "Pike minnows".

Pike minnow. This fish has more bones than family of pike. Maybe pikes minnow, meaning plural amount of bones in it. Yes I was foolish enough to cook up a bigger one. Tasted good feeding on fresh water shrimp and all. But the bones were too much.

Supper last night. Laker slabs from an earlier fish.



Catch of the day today. Remembered to take pic a bit late. See the kokanne it had inside it. Destined for the smoker. 6 3/4 lbs and 27 inches long.
