Any news from toba way? Headed to homfray lodge next weekend.

Was up that way last weekend. Some decent red snappers on the walls surrounding the lodge around 250. Regular close by salmon spots at brettle pt and across at Johnsons beach humps have been producing.

Hi a buddy talked us into going to Bamfield that weekend..but...

Just got back now from Desolation..
Fished only for a few hrs though as it wasn't about that this trip..I think we stopped in and had a coffee at every marina we could..lol

Did try dropping a line up at entrance to Toba..saw a few jumpers but we had no hits and didn't see another boat fishing..good luck..sorry I can't give any better info

Beautiful weekend away..loved Teakerne Arm and swimming in the lake at the falls.

When you going up? I think I'm going to head up after work Friday and try my luck at prawning.

Here are some of the local go to areas. Personally I usually start at 100'-120' and move up and down the water column as needed. Not that every shaded area is written in stone as all areas can be productive on certain tides and all areas can be expanded to find the fish. Beware when downrigger balls are searching near bottom bad things can and will happen to everyone. No one is immune to loosing the odd ball.

Hey sorry to jump in so late here. Appreciate this info. I’m heading up to Toba at the beginning of May. What time of year did you fish these tacks? Do you know any prawn or crab areas to try this time of year?
