The Ultimate 150hp FourStroke

Been wanting a 4 stroke for some time but was always worried about the extra weight but it says this one is only 22lbs more than my Optimax so it might be just the ticket....

hey guys.

I have had a mercury 4 stroke and optimax both were good motors. Now I have a suzuki 150hp and it by far has the most snap I don't know if its as light as the optimax those but so far its been working good for me.

I think I would wait a few years to see what the reliability is like, especially on brand new design. My 2 bits.
That has always been my philosophy too but I like the sounds of this one and it will bolt right up and plug into everything I already have.......I'll see what kind of deal he can offer me.......

You can get them down south for 10K at Edsmarine, maybe save a few bucks!

Great prices thats for sure.......local dealer would have trouble matching that even with shipping costs......like I said sounds to good to be true....SGPOWER wants 11k for 150 YAMY camp returns.......

Sounds like a well thought out engine with lots of good features. Maybe the start of a whole new lineup - 150 to 300hp? I think that Mercury is also the only company that will warranty ob's bought south of the border, though I'm not positive on that.

Need to confirm that in writing before you buy, lots of slippery loopholes these dealers have. So much for the Free Trade Agreement. It seems to only benefit big business, not the average citizen.

No--its not up to the dealers on who gets Warranty. Mercury calls the shots. I had an issue with the starter on my American bought 115 merc. All it took was a email to Mercury from my local Mercury dealer and the starter was replaced with no issues. Just make sure the dealer in the States does not forget to register the warranty.

I have to admit-- for a tin boat like mine, that 150 looks pretty sweet.
