The path forward from Gillnets?

I had just had a chance to watch a short video on fish traps on the Columbia River for harvesting salmon in river. Seems like the path forward away from gillnets and may be the answer for FSC Fisheries. Check it out:

That looks great. Would be awesome if we get some buy in on something like this. Doesn't even look that complicated.
