Spent a glorious, action packed weekend in Tahsis at The Lodge September 9, 10, 11. Accommodations were excellent (maximum 12 guests), food was served like you would at home in your dining room and was delicious.
Best of all, we limited out on Coho ranging from 12lb to 22lb and Spring up to 30lb. Our guide used anchove on purple haze and chartreuse teaser heads around 18 to 35 foot depth only.
Saw many humpback whales, spectacular setting! Hooked into numerous mackeral, guides hate 'em 'cause they munch the salmon fry.
Buddy hooked into a 15lb Northern Coho with a fly rod off the engine wash, he landed it with pictures to prove for his club members.
For a change, if was fun straight fishing and not having to worry about baiting and rigging gear. Plus you end up learning alot...
