Well I guess it all boils down to the "Stand Your Ground" Law.

In ordinary self defense law you can meet force with equal force but you are supposed to try and escape first.

In the SYG law , you are not required to try and escape. You simply stand your ground and you can meet force with deadly force IF YOU BELIEVE YOUR LIFE IS IN DANGER.......

Now your life does not actually HAVE to be in danger....all that's required with SYG is to BELIEVE your life is in danger.

Anybody can SAY they believed there life was in danger.

So the SYG law is really a Carte-Blanche law to use deadly force anyway you see fit......with no consequences......

He applied for a concealed carry permit, he packed his gun and went out looking for something. He definitely had intent.

Trying to stay out of this but that is one of the most absurd statements I've heard so far. Time for this hysteria to end.

I don't think that is absurd........GZ had one in the chamber with the safety off....

Would he have been so brave if he wasn't packing?

If he hadn't had a gun.....what would the out come of the alleged tussle been?.......Him just laying on the ground squealing like a schoolgirl until the cops showed up?

He knew he was armed, he knew he could use the gun if something came up, and the gun was prepared for instant use.

He was told to cease and desist from following Martin...but he went right ahead anyway...

He also had a documented attitude towards "punks and a-holes"........

It's a wonder he wasn't wearing a Superman cape........
