THE BIG FISH ARE HERE

Had some nice fights on the lines this week end . Hit the water Friday later in the morning and was a little worried as I was hearing it was dead . Dropped the gear at the first mile marker and pointed it towards the Bell . My wife's bottom rod popped off just as we were off the second marker , 19lbs spring in the boat . Fish took the sockeye squirt at 85 feet. Things were off to a good start. Funny she hit the spring as I was running spring gear . Got re set and stayed in that area , trolled for a while longer and landed a sockeye going the other way . Later that afternoon I had my top rod at 60 feet release itself and before I knew it I was into a good fight . 40 min later I had a 34 lbs white . HELL of lot of spooling going on. On Sat. we went out around the same time and after trolling around for a hour or two my wife had her top rod just go savage, a while later she had her biggest fish ever, a 27 lbs white on spring gear down at 85 again. Markers to the bell seem to be producing if you put some time in. I would bet the cap will start going off any time now.

He's referring to the lighted markers at mile intervals down the Point Grey shoreline in Vancouver.

Good to hear of your luck dmurph. I just got back from the island today. Can't wait to get back out around town now.
