The 14th Annual Just for the Halibut Derby is this coming weekend. Let's hope the weather improves and that the winds are moderate. That said, who's going out?

I heard they sold 175+ tickets at the 6 Mile Pub along, plus the store sales. So it should be a good turnout.

I also hope the winds calm down because after yesterday fishing I was still bouncing for hours after getting home.

Derby is hosted by Island Outfitters. Stop by their store I am sure they have tickets to sell you.

Don't know at this time but will know later today. Also, I've been working with Fish Tactics so that we can get pictures up on the internet of all the fish caught and entered so you can go online and see close to real time results.

Tickets are still available at Island Outfitters, Pedder Bay Marina and Cheanuh Marina. So far approximaely 340 tickets have been sold.

Island Outfitters ran out of Halibut Derby tickets today. Tat's the first time. Hopefully the weather will be good this weekend and we'll have a safe derby with lots of fish weighed in. Please boat safely and courteously. I'll be taking pictures of all the fish at the derby so please say HI when you weigh in your big slab.

Pretty quiet in the morning but it really picked up in the late afternoon. 114 fish weighed in with the biggest 88 lbs. good luck tomorrow!
