Thank You

I just wanted to thank those of you that can't tie knots very well. Well fishing yesterday I caught two fish both of which had flashers and hootchies attached to them as either you failed failed to tie the main line on with a secure knot or maybe you were to cheap to purchase new line every so often. Not only did you fail at the knot end of things, you also failed to pinch the bards on your hooks.

The spring that you told your friends was huge was undersized and was released after removing your barbed hooks from its mouth. And your other monster was a small dog fish.

Thanks for the free tackle :)

Nice free tackle gotta love it , even better you caught it from somebody who sucked so bad at fishing they were using barbed hooks..

Haha......while fishing at T10 on Saturday we watched a flasher swim by us about 2' below the surface. Was positive it was still attached to a fish.

When we used to use barbed hooks it was quite common to see fish towing a
flasher. More fun to watch newbies trying to catch it with a net. .....BB

was one of them a super betsy with a glo green splatterback tie with tandem BARBLESS black hooks by any chance. line broke at swivel as I was too lazy to retie it now and then. you would have most of the knott. I the rest. LOL

I passed a fish with a flasher in tow today at the hump, tried to net it but didn't work then lost sight of it. My buddy fishing at greensea had a errand flasher and fish tangle into his downrigger, it was a big 14lb sockeye! He should have weighed it at browns bay instead of his boat scale as the world record sockeye is around 15 pounds.

12 years ago in Sooke we got a limit of 11 sox and one chinook. The 11 sox were all from 10-14.4 pounds. and the chinook was 21.8 and my first ever over 20. This is still one of the most memorable days of my life! And if that close to a record then maybe even more epic then first realized!

Well just like any fishing story my friends sockeye was close but not that close. record for sockeye is 17lb10oz. I should have checked before believing.

Fishing the light house at Friendly Cove on a flat calm early morning a number of years ago a flasher was poping up on the surface keeping pace close beside us every now and then as we were trolling so out came the buzzbomb rod and after a few casts we got us a nice spring and all the gear thank you very much

Fishing Port Renfrew earlier this month, brought up a 30lb halibut with a teaser head and about 6 ft of leader attached to his tail area. Never have had the luck that some of you have. Kept both.. Teaser head was still usable!
