Now I feel really old, when I got my license $20 would buy 5 cases of beer ( $2.64) a case a pack of smokes $.42 which leaves over $5.00 for gas at $.50 a gallon .

Here's one you'll really like. When I turned 16 I had already been commercial fishing with my much older brother for 3 summers and had saved up , well let's just say , alot of money for a 16 year old at the time. The mechanic at our neighbor hood gas station was selling a car he had bought from our family doctor but his wife said it was impractical for their family so he was selling it. I wanted this car but my parents said no way. Oh well who wanted a 63 split window for $2500 anyway.

No it was a 4 speed. Dark green and black interior. If I had bought it it would have been just another one I regretted selling from my past.
