Technium mooching rod wt

I have read many posts where users speak nothing but good things about the rod at that price point. My question is what rod weight is preferred? I had the 15-25 in my hands and felt that it was a little stiff. Maybe that was the stiffer backbone people talk about. I was thinking about buying one instead of a g-loomis to reinvest in some other gear. What's your thoughts technium owners?

I have one of each weight for different species and fishing applications (e.g. coho vs. springs). Great rods!

I've been using the 15-25 for 4 years now without any issues. Playing a larger Chinook around the boat can be a little challenging especially if you're not elevated too far above the waterline (small boats or short people). I think this could be said about most 10.6 moochers (even if its rated to 30lbs). I've probably boated 10 Chinook over 30 with the rod. I'm not sure that I would like the 12-20 because I think the 15-25 is soft enough. Conversely, I don't think that I'd like anything stiffer (15-30). That said, I've never fished the 12-20 or the 15-30. I'm happy with the 15-25 so haven't had to try them. My 2 cents

I am thinking that the 15-25 would definitely be stiff enough I was mainly worried it wouldn't be soft enough. I would love the problem of a fish being too big for my rod but inside barkley sound is our current fishing area.

personal 12-20 does everything I need.... if your doing a pile of down deep fishing then go 15-25lb... put both in your hands before you decide..

they are for sure,, i keep two rigged with 40lb mainline for trolling hali.. brings 50lbers up without stress..

no fun for salmon tho..

I have 3, all 12-20. They are perfect for the fishing I do. Brought in a 35# with it.

This is perfect. Thats why I asked the question since the 15-25 felt really stiff to me but I was concerned with strength of the lighter rod. I don't know the chances of hooking up hali's inshore mid summer anyway.

I have two rods one for 10'6" ( 15- 30 lbs) and one for 9' ( 12-25 lbs) I have been use them a lot! for 3 years . They have No problems and no issues. They are beautiful colours.

I have a 10'6" Daiwa Samurai super glass SSG90 is awesome! no problems and no issues. I bought it from someone. He told me that he used this rod for 15 or 20 years he bought the rod was over $ 150 buck. So I used it for 4 years now.
