TCW3 2-Stroke Oil @ West Marine On Sale

Yep, it's a great deal. I still buy my oil from CDN tire. The regular price is 22.99 for 5 liters. Both oils are nmma and TCW3 certified.

CDN tire regular price works out to 4.59 / Liter.

WM sale price works out to 4.75 / liter.

16 cents difference aint much but that's the reg price for CDN tire and when it goes on sale it's a steal!

Cheers

Hey trendsetter I think you are referring to the regular price of the Motormaster TCW3 at CND Tire rather than the Nautilus TCW3 CND Tire carries, correct?

The Nautilus is a full 4 liters and about 28 bucks regular price although on sale ( a couple months ago) I got a few jugs for about 22 bucks ea. I think the Motormaster TCW3 goes on sale for about $14.99 so amazing price especially if it is 5 litres but have never felt comfortable buying that oil. Maybe its fine.

I can confirm the West M. oil this aternoon was $17.99 and it is 3.89 liters

Hey Peahead, yes it's the motomaster oil in the black containers that I'm talking about. They used to be only available up to 4l but this spring summer they came out with the 5L containers for 22.99.

I've been running that oil for 2 years and it's great. Less smoke then some of the other brands I've used and usually the best price. I've also run a bunch of that west marine oil and it's just as good. No problems at all.

As long as the oil you run is certified by NMMA and meets the TCW3 spec (Look on the container for the two logos) then it is fine to run in your carb 2 cycle.

I will say that I've picked up a few bottles of no name brand oil at various fuel docks in a pinch and my motors leave a blue smoke trail on that stuff. But motomaster is just as good in my opinion as the west marine brand. Heck, they might even be the same stuff with all the re-branding that goes on these days.

Cheers.
