fished Sunday and Monday off Espy.
Sunday in 250' North of Catala, 4 hali's to mid 30's.
Water was not very cooperative, had to do aggressive backtroll, sideways crawl alwys reduces catch a bit, so we put in some time..
Monday was better water, in 205' off red can. Steady limits of chics to mid 20's.

Go to lures glo and white berkeley power grubs with squid and white skin teasers, gulp strip added for that extra ooomph...mixed bag of lings and Rocks.
Worked ferrer for a few hours. real lack of bait or birds showing, no salmon.
Prawning was pretty poor.

Not very encouraging. I never fish the west coast but I still like seeing the reports. Thanks.

tow, easy if U are prepared
boat there for season

LOA 30'8"
Beam 10'4"
Trailer Tri-axle 15,000/lb limit.
Boat loaded approximately 13,500/lbs

Easy to tow, but with the permits I have to get and the additional costs at the ferry it is faster, easy and cheaper for me to run up.

agree, that is a monster....there are some 15% + grades also..

Fished this past weekend for salmon, Ferrier dead and offshore also. Never seen such poor fishing for salmon this late in June.

A friend of mine was out today. He fished Ferrer Pt. in the morning probably started around 8:30 AM. They got a Coho within 5 minutes of getting a line in the water, and then nothing for about 4 hours or so. Picked up a small Chinook, and lost a very nice fish beside the boat, probably in the mid to high 20's.

Prawn traps gave up about 150 Prawns. You have got to try our Tahsis Prawn Burritos!

Also heard reports on the radio of a pod of Orcas right off the Tahsis docks! If anyone spots them please let us know the location and time of your sightings by posting here.
