I see floats there all summer, I always think to myself that would be a good spot. JUst one question; whats in the secret sauce?

The sauce looks like Copper River Prawn Scent, I use it and it really does work great......:D SS

Hi Dave:

The "secret sauce" is a bait oil from Ace Baits it is the same thing that is in the bait pellets, but much more concentrated. You can really see an oil slick from it when you lauch and recover the traps. It also takes about 3 or 4 washes to get the smell out of your jeans!

Only because I was holding the camera - the scenes that Bob shot of me were unusable - he couldn't figure out when he was recording or not. [:0]

Have the commercials moved into the inlet yet? Seems like it takes a couple months for the prawns to come back once they make their rounds.

Yes, the commecial guys have been out since May 1st. We were out today and saw a couple of them, but none of them was working their gear. There aren't as many commercial floats around the inlet this year - not sure why.

We set the traps today and I may be able to report late on Sunday.

The guys were out on Sunday. The got about 150 Prawns with 6 traps.

They also picked up one Chicken Halibut and a bunch of good sized Rockfish.

They did try some Salmon trolling, but only for about 20 minutes, without success.
