Suzuki 9.9

I'm just wondering about Suzuki 9.9 I never see anyone using them. I see people using Suzuki as their main but never a Suzuki kicker it's always Yamaha is it just Yamaha makes a great kicker. Give me your thoughts

I have a 2008 that was new on the boat I bought in 09'. I have logged around 500 hrs on it without any issues outside of general maintenance. I have read that some guys feel they are a little ropie at idle but I have never really noticed.

I have a 1996 Suzuki 9.9 4 stroke and its been great, bought the boat about 3 years ago with it on and have put about 200 hours on it mainly trolling hours , all good ! (did replace the reppeler though).
Never had a Yami so cant help ya there

get a tohatsu, same motor, cheaper price.

A few guys have had a bad harmonic vibration right at their trolling throttle setting. A couple were so bad the owners took them back to the dealers.

I have a 2011 9.9. If it sits for a while, it takes a little bit to get er started but once it is running, works like a charm. My main is also a Suzuki 150..Love it.
