suspension seat advice

looking into this i see not many great options. there's shockwave and other Mercedes level products. the kind of suspension seats you would find on Coast Guard and SAR boats. starting at 1700 and up.

what i would like to know is are there any options for those of us who are not dentists that are still worthwhile?

i use my old legend boat captains chairs. 1.5" suspension but very nice. i got em from legend dealer on closeout for $700 apiece.

I bought ones similar to this for my old hewescraft. Survived basically jumping the boat on the way to swiftsure and a couple years of use. No comparison to well made purpose built but for a couple of times a year, it might survive https://ebay.us/m/VQqg0b

I am very interested to see how this goes. I am in the market for two seat to install this winter. Please let us know how the install goes and your thoughts on them once you have had a chance to use them.

I like how simple the bases are to move around or swivel.. but I thought you want the seat to move down and backward to handle the movement of the boat.. the way he has these mounted.. it would move the seat down and forward....

I'm going to try my hand making one based on someone else's basic design. Scaled to fit some shocks i have on hand.

Bushings available on my lathe to. Slightly better lead times as well.

Sure might as well completely hijack this thread. Ill post mine when it's ready.
